Nautilus

Intaglio print. The copper plate is cut, polished, the corners get filed and sanded down, special acid-proof lacquer is applied and burned with a torch. After that you have to scrape the lacquer off, put it in acid, clean it all off afterwards and start the complex printing process. Here it was painted with water color afterwards. Everything done by me. It is small, about A5 format.
